Rachel Burdett is a Partner at Cor Cordis and the National President of the Australian Restructuring, Insolvency, and Turnaround Association (ARITA), where she was re-elected for a second term in 2024.
With over three decades of experience, Rachel specialises in distressed debt advisory, business stabilisation and turnaround, solvent liquidations, and formal insolvency appointments. Her career has spanned across executive roles in restructuring and risk management within both chartered accounting firms and the banking industry.
She is the founding partner of the Cor Cordis National Women’s Forum, which is now in its eighth year, and she leads the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Recognised for her contributions, Rachel was honoured as the 2024 Outstanding Female of the Year by Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Victoria (WIRV).
In addition to her leadership roles at Cor Cordis, Rachel is an ARITA Fellow, Chair of the ARITA/ASIC/AFSA Liaison Committee, and a committee member of ARITA’s Balanced Taskforce, focusing on DEI initiatives. She is also an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and the ASIC Insolvency Practitioners Liaison Committee for Victoria.
